About MMMB Alumni Association

Muladi Mahmudjan Secondary School (Muladi Mahmudjan Madhayamik Biddalaya) was established in 1940 during the British Colonial regime to educate the people of the then undeserved Muladi and its adjacent areas. During that time there were no educational institutions at secondary level in Muladi and its adjacent areas. For education students needed to go to Gouronadi or Barishal Zilla Head quarter. Due to very weak communication, transport, and economic hardship it was almost impossible for the inhabitants of Muladi to go for education there. Geographically, Muladi is an island (char) surrounded by rivers  In this backdrop some nobles came forward to establishing a junior secondary school. Founding members and donors of the school had a dream of poverty elimination, economic emancipation, social harmony, cultural flourishment, enlightened people, and peace & justice in this land through educating boys and girls in this soil.  Over the years this school created many enlightened personalities, politicians, professionals, entrepreneurs, and scholars. They contributed to the development of Muladi and adjacent areas. Some of them achieved name & fame across the country and abroad.

As the school was approaching 75 years, a group of senior alumni took initiatives to convene an assembly of ex-students and educators in Dhaka city. In such a situation Mr. A K M Bazlul Karim, the eminent head teacher (1967-1976) of the school, inspired them to form an Alumni Association. Finally, Muladi Mahmudjan Madhayamik Biddalaya Alumni Association (MMMBAA) was established on the 13th of March of 2010 with the formation of a Convening Committee. Since then, the association has been working to implement the objectives set out in the constitution.
